I'm no expert on the sharemarkets or banking industry, but it seems that this is a massively volatile week

  • Politicians in America are so immersed in Greed and Corruption (the true weapons of mass destruction) to make the required fast decisions

  • Banks are paying the price for years of easy credit the world over

  • It worries me a bit that most of NZ's Banks source funds offshore

  • Same with the "Cullen" Fund and Kiwisaver schemes?

  • Some european countries are hastily nationalising their major banks to create a buffer for themselves

  • If a solution is not found soon America is going to unravel like a ball of string

The Radiohead song "House of Cards" springs to mind.
Interesting days ahead folks....

The Boy on The Plane

A pic of the lad on the plane yesterday?
Na not really, but it is cool that both of the chaps have been on a silver bird before the age of 6 months. And they love it!

Who Said the Shield Was Dead?

Parades are back.
Parties.
Props sleeping with it.
It even crossed cook Strait for a funeral...has the Log O Wood ever attended a funeral before?

Garbage down the toilet

Ok you all know I'm a bit of a music freak...well one of my favourate acts in the 1990's was "supergroup" Garbage featuring fiesty Scottish lass Shirley Manson. It's been a while since Garbage has an album, so long in fact that she has had to resort to a cameo role in TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, ...

....as a urinal. Now thats just tragic. See for yourself...

Science or Doomsday?

Some say this 27km wide chamber in Europe will create a mini black hole. Others say it is just an experiment.

I guess time will tell one way or the other...in the next couple of weeks at CERN!

Stuff.co.nz cartoon today has a nice take on this

Apparently Wednesday September 10th is "Big Bang Day". They had to pick a "Hump Day" didn't they?

Haha

The Razors Edge loves a good Odd Spot story, and this one is a right royal cock-up by the Wellington bureaucrats.

Dads Day

My boys rock. These fine young men just bought their Dad a ticket to Southern Amp. How cool is that?!

Its Spring!

Welcome to spring...and true to form its 21 degrees here.
In todays news roundup, a little story about springing in the wrong direction...

I am a little bit confused as to why the police would need to analyse the trampoline though, with thousand witnesses I would have thought it was rather obvious!
